Teen dating someone older boyfriend still has online dating profile
Some parents give their teenagers permission, but some feel totally uncomfortable.
"My 16-year-old daughter is comfortable calling boys," Sue Bleney stated in the article "Girls calling Boys " (Teenagers Today, 2/28/06).
Our 15-1/2 year-old daughter wants to date an almost 18-year-old boy. Your daughter’s desire to date an older boy may not match your view of whom she should date.
And that apprehension is exacerbated if a son or daughter chooses to date an older peer.
"A lot of them aren't ready for sex, and they are being thrown into that very often by girls," She says.
With that said, you can tell that there are girls who tend to be more of an "Adult" in the relationship.
It may also serve to ease your fears about the relationship.
It also lets your daughter know that you’re not summarily dismissing the relationship, but that you do want to know more about the person with whom she wants to spend her time.
